Good to know before you go

ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit) and TIMS cards can be processed at the Tourist Police / NTB office near Damside.
Lakeside has excellent 4G coverage (Ncell and Nepal Telecom SIM cards available with passport copy in 10 minutes).
During peak season (Oct–Nov), reserve paragliding morning slots (9:30 AM – 11:30 AM) early for the clearest thermal conditions.
Most local taxis do not use meters; confirm fixed fares or hire scooters through Safaro for effortless valley transit.
